Kuya Nuggets! We will miss you!

For more than 12 years, he is our family's friend and my pamangkins' Kuya Nuggets since he is older than most of them. March 19, 2011 at around 4 am, he joined his Creator, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker.

We mourn his passing. We will surely miss him. Goodnight our dear Kuya Nuggets.

41 Years of Journey Together: Thanks Nanay & Tatay

Today March 19, marks the 41st Wedding Anniversary of our dear Nanay & Tatay. Those years were not a fairy tale journey of never ending happiness but it's a colorful story of life's ups and downs. Now all I can say is "Thank You!" to God for giving you both to us.

We love you very much and we are very proud of you.

As defined by Wikipedia, Father's Day is a day honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June in 55 of the world's countries (including here in the Philippines) and on other days elsewhere. It complements Mother's Day, the celebration honoring mothers.

To my Dear Tatay, THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU! Even if you're not that very vocal as do most fathers, I know how PROUD you are to all of us, your children. Feast of St. Anthony of Padua & My youngest Bro's Birthday!

June 13 - In the Catholic Church this day is widely celebrated being the feast day of one of the most loved and admired saint in history, St. Anthony of Padua, a Doctor of the Church.

Anthony of Lisbon (or Padua) is known to have become the "quickest" saint in the history of the Catholic Church because he was canonized by Pope Gregory IX less than one year after his death on the 30th of May of 1232.

He is typically depicted with a book and the Infant Child Jesus, to whom He miraculously appeared, and is commonly referred to today as the "finder of lost articles." - thus he became the Patron Saint of Lost Things, the Poor and Travelers. Upon exhumation, some 336 years after his death, his body was found to be corrupted, yet his tongue was totally incorrupt, so perfect were the teachings that had been formed upon it. - c",)

Today also is the birthday of my youngest brother - Antonio (now its obvious where he got his name), I think its from our Grandma being a devout Catholic and who usually refers to the Calendar of Saints in suggesting name for her 'apo' - but obviously not in my case. c",) 

 

Simple birthday treat for him at Shakey's Galleria after attending the 4:30 pm mass.

Today is my 28th birthday! (I stated it already for you not to ask me how old I am.)

Thank you very much to all who remembered this special day when I was brought into this world. Whew! I've got a busy day answering text, call, e-mails and even facebook and friendster greetings as well as those who greet me thru ASMSI forum.

It feels great to learn that a lot of you (my friends and family members) remember me and throw every kind of messages and wishes for me. My only wish is that may all your wishes for me do come true. =).

I ended the day by attending mass at The Philippine Centre for St. Pio of Pietrelcina, Inc. in Libis, Quezon City and THANK the LORD for a busy and fruitful year that was.

It's great to know also that today is the feast day of one of the great pope in history, St. Leo the Great .
