The Sisters of Mary Welcomes 2,500 First Year Students

Monday, April 11, 2011 marks the official start of classes and school year for the freshmen of the Sisters of Mary Schools in Cavite and Cebu. More than 2,500 deserving students coming from poor families of the different parts of the Philippines were accepted last week. Like their "ates" and "kuyas", they are now members of the big family of the Sisters of Mary whom the sisters take care and educate aside from helping them grow physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

With selfless love, the Sisters let these children feel the presence of a "family" away from home. They prepare them for a bright future by providing them free food, clothing, shelter, medical and dental care and high quality education as well as vocational and technical training so that they can be of help to their families once they step out of the portals of the institution.
